Must be located in a community facing environmental injustices
We thrive together
When we are together in coalition, we are powerful. At MEJC, we honor the generations of environmental justice warriors who came before us and who laid the grounds for our work. Since 2011, we've helped build on that legacy through organizing, policy and direct action. When your organization stands with us they are supported by a deep history of organizations representing those most affected by environmental injustices across the state.

Our organization operates within an understanding that the root causes of climate change are racism, capitalism, and the hetero-patriarchy with the impact of these oppressive systems falling on BIPOC and low-income communities. Accountability to our base, our partners, and members is extremely important to us. Environmental Justice communities are at the center of our mission and inform the decisions we make.
